Jonathan and I met in August 2007. I had been working at the Undergraduate Admissions Office as a work study at VT since my freshman year. The first day of work senior year, there was this new "kid" working in the office. We actually hit it off the first day we met, talking for hours about anything and everything while we prepared packets for the Admissions counselors in the basement of Burruss Hall...a great way to start our relationship :).
We both graduated from VT in May 2008.
Jonathan and I were both blessed to get jobs right out of college, and we both started working around the Blacksburg area. We just couldn't leave! Both of us knew we wanted to stay around the area - we just love how it's quiet but not in the middle of nowhere, there's plenty of shopping and entertainment, and the mountains are gorgeous!
Jonathan proposed on October 16, 2008 in the same building we first met - Burruss Hall. Of course, I said yes!!!
We got married a short 6 months later, April 18, 2009, in Pulaski, VA. It was absolutely amazing, and I could not have asked for more on my wedding day!
A short month after getting married, we closed on our first house! It was quite a whirlind of a year - graduating college, starting full time jobs, getting engaged, getting married, and buying a house! What in the world were we thinking?!? Anyway, we absolutely adore our life. We are very very blessed...as we like to say we are living in the FOG ("Favor Of God).
